Commercial Cleaner - Dieppe, NB

We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Cleaner in our Dieppe Facility.

Career Opportunity:

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the Commercial Cleaner is responsible for overall housekeeping of the facility.

Compensation: Starting Hourly Rate: $19.45 +Night Shift Premium & Sunday Shift Premium

Hours: 12 hour shifts - 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off rotating schedule

Key Responsibilities:

  • This individual will be involved in a variety of housekeeping measures including but not limited to:
  • Clean, & sanitize stainless steel fixtures and appliances in the washrooms, locker rooms, lunchrooms
  • Sanitize door handles, common areas (including administrative area), tables & chairs, countertops
  • Ensures washrooms are clean, sanitized, and in proper order
  • Replenish supply of amenities such as: toilet paper, paper towel, soap, hand sanitizer, etc.
  • Empty garbage and transports garbage from drop points to garbage bins
  • Sweep, mop floors and dust furniture, vacuum carpets
  • Responsible for operating the commercial floor cleaner and waxer
  • Responsible for window cleaning
  • Participate in all training relevant and as required
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations as outlined by the Company
  • Additional duties may be required from time to time

Experience/Education:

  • Secondary School Diploma or GED
  • Previous cleaning experience is preferred

Cleaner, Janitor

Shunter - Dieppe, NB

Master Packaging Inc., the leader of corrugate and folding carton packaging, located in Dieppe, New Brunswick, is currently seeking self-motivated and energetic individuals who are interested in joining our team in the role of Shunter.

This poisition follows our 4 Days on / 4 Days off rotating schedule (2 days, 2 nights).

The starting wage is $25.00/hr.

Responsibilities:  Reporting to the Shipping FLM you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Deliver quality products to our local customers in the Greater Moncton Area, in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Move trailers in and out of loading doors, as required by the Shipping and Receiving Teams.
  • Complete daily yard checks to maintain the accuracy of our trailer inventory.
  • Complete daily checks on pallet inventories. Pick-up and deliver pallets to the plant, as required.
  • Achieve and maintain forklift driver certification. When available, assist the Shipping Team to move pallets inside the plant or other forklift duties, as assigned by the Manager/Team Leader.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of our shunt and delivery trucks. Monitor operating conditions and plan for Preventive Maintenance or repairs, as required.
  • Keep the yard organized, clean, and always follow safe work practices. 
  • Follow instructions from the Shipping FLM and Team Leaders to ensure priorities are understood and communicate the status of trailer movements with Team members.

Requirement / Knowledge and Skills:

  • Possess a valid Class 1 Drivers license in NB
  • Preferred 2 years of experience driving tractor trailers
  • Previous warehouse or shipping experience considered an asset
  • Possess a valid Forklift driver certification or ability to achieve certification
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain good relationships with customers
  • Proactive Team player with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement

Rotation: 4 days on, 4 days off (8 Day Rotation)

Shift: 2 Day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) followed by 2 Night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Responsibilities: As a member of a highly energetic and goal-oriented team, you will be mainly responsible for the quality of our finished product and will assist and work cooperatively with the staff as needed in a variety of roles all while following safe practices.

The successful candidate is currently enrolled in a college or university program. Must be multi tasked, result oriented, team player and most importantly willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts. Must be available for work starting early May to mid or late August
